The “best vocal technique” is simply the healthiest and most efficient way to produce sound. My goal is to help you sing great music effortlessly by teaching you the correct and most natural way to manage your breathing, support, posture, phonation, and projection. This will allow you to free up the individual timbre of your voice and tackle repertoire that you have never been able to sing before. If you are new to classical singing, I can help you build a solid foundation of vocal technique; if you are already an experienced singer, I can help you trouble-shoot problems and hone your skills.
Lesson repertoire is tailored to meet your specific needs. Whether you are studying short songs or complete operatic roles, you will learn to interpret many different musical styles with sophistication and expressive freedom.
My studio is located at my home in San Pedro, California. I have given private voice lessons in Austria and Italy for several years, and I am now building a new voice studio in Los Angeles. I have great respect for all voices and for all singers, and my studio is a supportive environment for everyone. I hold bachelor’s and master’s degrees in opera performance from the Mozarteum University in Salzburg, Austria, as well as a post-graduate certificate from the Centro Universale del Bel Canto in Vignola, Italy.

Learn to speak and sing like a native! I have studied diction and phonetics at an advanced level with native speakers of German and Italian at the Mozarteum in Salzburg and at the Istituto Italiano in Florence. I have coached numerous singers in these languages with excellent results. In addition to phonetic exercises, I encourage my students to minimize their accents by practicing the speech rhythms and pitch patterns that are specific to each language. I offer individualized diction lessons in segments of 30 minutes.
